A Story of Resilience & Purpose

Melissa’s deep understanding of resilience comes from lived experience. Adopted at birth, she grew up curious about human potential, development and performance.

At 18, a traumatic brain injury forced her to relearn how to live and function. That journey revealed the profound connection between breath, brain, and body, and set her on a path to explore how we can consciously train the systems that shape our lives.

Her healing began with recreation and play, which she believes “saved her life”, and evolved into studying yoga as the science of optimal human performance. Through the lens of neuroscience and physics, she discovered that ancient wisdom and modern science converge on the same truth: when we learn to direct our life force energy, we become architects of our inner world.

This journey fueled the creation of Neural Performance Training™ — an approach that equips athletes to recover faster, lead stronger, and perform with consistent excellence in sport and in life.
